I heard a rumor that I need confirmed. I have heard that you can use a mobile processor in a desktop computer and overclock it immesly with adequate cooling for cheaper money than a desktop processor. If this si true what would be more logical, should i get a new AMD 64bit or use the mobile overclocked? I use this computer for music and gaming, generally Counter-Strike and games of that nature. I'm in need of an upgrade on the system because at the current, I am running an AMD 1gHz, ouch... Let me know. Much appreciated.

If those "mobile processors" are Dothans...then it's not much cheaper..if at all. If you're talking about old school XP-M's, then yeah..BUT those are pretty old now.

I'd jump on the A64 boat if I were making an upgrade now.

edit: should add in..Turions aren't all that great. ;)
