Mobile drivers

Ok.
So I've looked at prev. threads and saw that for ATI MOBILE laptop cards, I should either get omega drivers probably. The game I'm playing right now is HL2 and CS:S. The drivers that came with this dell ati 9600 pro turbo are like a year old.

How big of a FPS boost do you think I'll get if I dl new drivers? Basically, I'm wonderin if it's worth it to do it.

I'm using the 4.12 betas on my mobility 9700. I'm using a set made for the mobility 9800 that are here: http://www.ebbatson.com/ They run fine with my 9700 but I'm unsure how they would run on a 9600. Give them a try.

The latest Omegas are based on the 4.10 beta and I found the 4.12 betas ran HL2 better (but I did not run before and after benches).

The DH mod tool has not worked for me the last couple versions of ATI drivers so that is why I'm using above.

ok so I found the dell drivers page and it has a driver to dl and a bios

Do I need to update both? If so, what steps do i need to do before installing? I know i'm supposed to uninstall old drivers but do i use windows uninstaller or something? Anything i need ot know? I'm noob and search function not working.

Edit: Should I really update? I only play HL2 games and it says for the drivers:

Do u think it'd help my HL2 game? I mean, these drivers came out a month before HL2
