mmo mouse buttons native function question

in the past i have bumped onto hardforum on several occasions while researching various topics and found quite rare details by informed users so i thought i had to register here to ask your opinion on this - so first let me say: HI EVERYONE

i read on amazon comments about an mmo mouse (redragon perdition) that the 1-12 mouse buttons 'replace'/'take' the numpad keys
unfortunately i can't find many users having mmo mice in my country and i wanted to ask what exactly do they mean by 'replace'?
will i be able to retain full keyboard key native functionality for all the keys including the numpad keys while using the 1-12 mouse buttons for whatever i want at the same time?
or are the mouse buttons actually sending numpad keystrokes on a hardware level and thus the software is actually binding the numpad keystrokes which means the keyboard numpad keys will also get bound to whatever i have set for the mouse buttons?
i personally don't want to just transfer functionality/keybinded macros from the keyboard to the mouse - i want additional/extra/anonymous buttons

i know how stupid this question sounds, but there is a reason im considering this possibility
u see, i have a touch pad and i've discovered that the forward touch gesture does not send a direct 'browser_forward' command but actually sends a 5th mouse button keystroke... (whose native function is forward of course)
but as you can imagine this means that binding the 5th mouse button to send a space keystroke instead of a 'forward' means the forward touch gesture on the touchpad will ultimately also send space keystrokes since it actually sends a 5th mouse button keystroke which is bound to send a space keystroke and not a 'browser_forward' command...
hehe their software developer must be a genius right?..

anyway, hence my question, i was just hoping someone with a cheaper mmo mouse would answer bcz the more expensive ones like the logitech could have different functionality, you know?
thanks

Not sure about that mouse. But in most cases, hitting the buttons on the mouse is the same as hitting the keys on the number pad. Any macros assigned to your numpad will be triggered when you push the button on the mouse.

I have a Razer Naga (original version) and it has a switch where you can use either the numpad keys, or the number keys at the top of the keyboard. I use the numbers across the top for my assigned buttons, because anything from 6 to the = key are too hard to hit while gaming. Plus it keeps my numpad open for other things.

Exactly what DraginDim said. On my G600, pressing one of side buttons is like pressed one of number keys. You can still use the keys, but when gaming, you can press the side button. I guess on your mouse it will be the same.

seriously?
so if i use the mouse software (for your mouse models) to bind an 'Alt+F4' command to the mouse button '3' for use within the operating system then everytime i press the keyboard numpad button '3' it will also send an 'Alt+F4' right?
and you say even the expensive naga/logitech mice do this? and they cost so freaking much?
im so dissapointed

thank you very very much for the reply, i couldn't find ppl to answer me, i haven't purchased anything from amazon yet so i don't have permission to ask questions there

No, in the scenario you described the keyboard would still only send "3" while the mouse would send "Alt-F4" and would not send "3".

Windows only understands that five mouse buttons exist. In theory it understands up to eight, but the last three have never actually worked. Unless you write a special driver and spend a massive amount of time and effort to get game developers to implement support for your SDK, there's no other way to get more than five buttons reported through the OS to the game besides mimicking keyboard keystrokes.
