I'm looking for a kid friendly MMO that my 8 year old can play. Webkinz are fun for him but it results in us buying more of that damn stuffed animals. :(

Not sure what's out there, but is there there anything like a lemonade stand MMO or any along those lines?

He watches me play Dawn of War and LoTRO and Tabula Rasa, but the wife accidentally saw the intro movie to Dawn of War and we need something a little more PG :)

There's also a handheld game/virtual pet that offers a rudimentary MMO, of sorts (no monthly fee, did I mention rudimentary?), when it is connected to the PC. I can't remember what it is offhand tho. The girl oriented version used Bratz characters, the boys' version had some monsters I think.

Aren't they working on a Lego MMO? I recall hearing something about that some time ago.

Just tell her you don't want your boy being some puss when he grows up and that he needs exposure to horrible things such as violence, rude but fun language. Then take him to liveleak.com and show him how the world really is... Then take her to the website as well and show her how the world really is... and then, everyone play games :D be merry... lol...

If you want information on pg mmo's a good place to start is to watch children programming. They usually advertise stuff such as toon town and many other online gaming places/communities for children. Give a call to your local game stop as well and see if they might have something that slides slightly under advertising radar as most people know games like that just don't sell that well :)...

AdventureQuest isn't a MMO, but the kids seem to dig it.
Nickelodeon's Nicktropolis is pretty popular.
 
Get your kid outside playing sports and running around now before he/she gets fat(ter) instead?

Little kids shouldn't be playing addictive MMO's IMO.

I agree 100% with this statement... Hell I only play games when I've got free time and nothing else to do. Which is all the time now :'(
