Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I currently have a 512 MB geil pc2700 ddr RAM stick in my pc. if I get the same capacity ram at the same speed but from a different manufacturer, will it cause problems?
Personally I would just buy another stick of the same Pc2700 you currently have. I have mixed ram before and had no problem, but I have also mixed ram and had alot of problems. If it is another stick of Pc2700 it is better then trying to put in a stick of something slower.
I don't have any problems running the KVR PC3200 and GEIL PC4000 together at settings listed. I can see where you'd run into problems if you were trying to mix some low latency BH-5 with some 3-4-4-8 RAM or something like that.
alright, well the reason I wanted to know was because I could just get it off newegg but I'd rather run over to the local parts store and snag up some on payday cuz I wanna run thief 3
