I currently run the Eclipse II keyboard. While admitting that I love this keyboard, I'm looking at changing the appearance some.

Stock, Eclipse II has black keys while the Eclipse has Silver keys. I am interested in doing the silver keys on my keyboard.

Has anyone else here attempted this? If so, where did you get the other set of keys from?

I am also waiting on an email from Saitek CS on if they are able to offer the keys separate.

29 Views, no replies, which is cool, because out of that many, what I want to do is becoming unique. :)

I received an email back from Saitek asking what country I live in. Pretty promising thus far, unless they tell me that the silver keys are UK only.

I will keep everyone updated, leading up to pictures of this simple 'mod' if it does happen.

i wish the opposite... i have the original saitek and want black keys.. haha.

I have the original eclipse, and the silver paint on the keys has started to wear off, leaving plenty of light shining through and making it hard to tell what key it is.

Eclipse 2 should have keys which do not do this. I would suggest keeping with the eclipse 2 keys, because the eclipse 1 keys are going to wear down and look like crap.

Same here! Plus I assume it's easier to see the letters when the monitor light is reflecting off of black keys compared to the silver keys...

Well, I got contacted back, and its $25 for the keys. Thats only $10 less than I paid for the KB, so I won't be doing the mod.

I'm actually thinking of grabbing the lycosa soon.
