Mixing Inside diameters

My whole system is done in 3/8" ID Tube, Could I switch the inside diameter of the tube running from the reservoirs out to the pumps in to 1/2" to increase flow by creating a lower pressure behind the pump?

I probably won't help a lot, but it's definitely a good thing to do. It certainly won't hurt.

How about fixing the rest of your loop along with it :p

In my WC-setup I use all sorts of diametres ; 3/8" ,1/2", 10cm,8cm,12cm.
Best of course is to use the biggest tubing possible.
Just aslong as the pump can deliver a nice flow (at least 1l/min)

After all the RAD's, block,height resistance, I've still got a flow of 2l/min. :D

Your problems begin or end with the pump. ;)

how well would the dd d4 do for flow rate
The Dangerden D4-pump would do just fine. :D
But if you're still in a test fase, try this.
Measure your flow, by letting a jar fill in say 2 minutes.Divide by two and you'll know what the flow-rate is of your pump in your current setup.
You can add more stuff like GPU, chipset-cooler,....and remember to stay around 1 to 2 litres a minute and all is good.

Whatever the diameter on the inlet of the pump is, that is the size tubing to use. Restricting the input by using smaller hose will have a negative impact, though usually not to a great degree.

Performance actually suffers more restricting the inlet than it does restricting the outlet....

sorry all I see is this

Still would like to see them :)

Bummer, just noticed my pics were no longer in the thread. I'll have to see if they are still on my hardrive....
