i;m just curious to know if i can install a SATA 300 and a ATA 133 hard drive and partition them so they could work together.

depends on many factors, such as what OS your will be running, what board you are running it on and whether your OS is installed on one of these drives.
 
JBOD or a level 0 array will give you cumulative capacity. NvRaid allows spanning across controllers so if you have an nforce based mobo you should have the hardware to do it. Just be aware there are risks running an array, and do your homework before committing to it.


 
In linux, u can mix and match what u want, however you want...

in windows u need to make sure u setup dynamic drives and follow the normal window raid modes/jbod mode rules...

i would not jbod the drives, but u could prob getaway with mirroring thsoe drives. I wouldnt stripe drives like that either... general raid principles & safety considerations apply. So I would have to ask why you want to do and what OS u want to do it in...
