Mixed tubing sizes

I started out using 7/16th size tubing. However after some additions and cutting, I ran out and had to use what I had on hand to finish up, 1/2 inch.

Will there be any problem mixing these two sizes for a while?
 
Short answer--No. I'll assume you are using 1/2" barbs, so make sure and put some kind of clamp or ziptie around the 1/2" tubing just to make sure it stays securely fastened.
 
Yeah, all the barbs are 1/2".

And I got clamps or ziplocks on all the hoses (regardless of size).

the changing of tube sizes won't have any noticeable adverse effects on flow compared to the constriction from the blocks, so it should be okay (although not optimal)
 
I found that extensions using wider tube gave no issues in my old w/c setup.
If its a really short length you will get more negatives effect than positive but it wont be much.

In case it helps, you can insert 1/2" OD tubing into 1/2" ID tubing and it creates a perfect seal.
I also used a jubilee clip to clamp it a little just in case but never had an issue with this joint method.

Its a good idea to shape the end of the tube to be inserted so there is more of a gradient than a cut tube end.
This will reduce turbulence.
