Hello,

First like to say I am a rukey with computers. But could any one help me I have the monitor mentioned in the title and i just put windows 7 on my computer.I cant find drivers any where to install the monitor it just shows up as a "generic driver" with that all my resolutions are stuck with 85 hrtz refresh rate.Could any one help me fix this or tell me where I can download drivers for either windows 7 or vista 64bit?

Some one told me vista would work (not sure if thats true or not) but being the dip s!@t that I am i cant find any.

Thank you
Mike

Can't you just go into windows monitor properties and uncheck "hide modes this display doesn't support" or something like that? Or get a program like RefreshLock which should be able to force the rate you desire. Always had to use that in most games that had no refresh option.
Shouldn't need official drivers for the display, I never bothered to install them half the time with my Mitsu 2070sb. Sorry I can't be of more help, mines sitting in my old room at my parents house.

Well I used mine on Vista x64 for a long time and it was fine. Stopped using it before Win7 came out though.

Try to right-click on your desktop, click screen resolution, click advanced settings, go to the monitor tab, and uncheck Hide modes that this monitor cannot display. Then it should show everything.
That's all I ever had to do for desktop usage. A lot of games required using a refresh forcing program though.

that box is unchecked and its grayed out so it is not even a option. But thanks for the ideas so far .

Try some forum searches OP.

Someone here a couple of weeks ago brought up the same topic with Win 7 and older CRT monitors. Sorry i don't have a link but there was a workaround from what i remember.

Good luck either way.

Ya I found a topic about this but had no idea what they where talking about.but thanks any way I was just hopeing there was going to be a easy way but there never is with computers...Some times I wounder why dont I just buy a XBox or something to play games on

:p thanks guys if any one has a working copy of vista X64 drivers for the this monitor Mitsubishi DiamondPro 2070sb I would sure like to try them thanks

Did you even install your graphics card drivers first? Because if you did it should install monitor drivers automaticly, it always uses generic driver before gfx card driver is installed and being a popular CRT I doubt Windows 7 doesn't have that monitor driver. Might even find it through windows update.

EDIT: Yes I know windows 7 probably already had some kind of drivers for your gfx card installed but you need to install them manually over the current drivers.

Yes I installed the graphic card drivers one of the first things i did...the drivers i have for monitor is "Generic PnP Monitor" still lost and looking for help

Thanks guys

If you have an ATI or Nvidia video card, go into their control panel software, both have the ability to add custom refresh rates.

i have the 2070sb and windows 7 and had the same problem that you are having with win7 not recognizing all of the resolutions and refreshrates. you can either find the old 32bit 2070sb drivers online somewhere and sign them for 64bit, or use the program powerstrip to create your own driver. ive used both methods with success. i dont know specific steps off the top of my head, google it up

Thank you. I will give that a try when I get home. I do have a gforce 260 gtx when I try to add custom res like 1600X1200 @ 100hrtz it just goes back to 85 like I never saved it. It will teat ok at that then I hit apply and nothing.

But I will try the method mentioned in the above post if I'm smart enough to figur it out.

Thanks again

Sorry to bring this topic back up but I'm still havening problems with this.I downloaded that program powerstrip.I installed it and followed the intrusion's on how to make your own drivers .I got the owners Manuel put in Max horizontal resolution and vertical re's plus Max refreshrate @85 for the Max re's put the manufacturers name and type of monitor I have.

Saved new custom driver and burned to a disk when in to update driver put in disk and it installed.now I go to desktop right click and try and set the refresh rate to 100 on 1600X1200 and it still shows the highest refresh rate I can get on any resolution is 85?

I'm new to this stuff but would like to fix this any help would be great. If you can spell it out for my (step by step) like I'm a 3 year old that would be perfect

Thanks again every one
