Well my motherboard fried. So I replaced it yesterday. I was hoping to just plug everything back in and have it all be happy, but it did't work like that. So I've spent the past day and half trying to convice windows to format and install on my c drive. For a while it decided it didn't want to so it gave me the BSOF during install. That was fun. But thats fixed now (wiring issue) and now I've got windows running.
Heres my problem. I have an 80gb hd. It is partitioned into many different parts. 8 gbs are the windows install and have their own drive name (c
. Those other pesky 72gbs are no where to be found. I know I haven't formatted over them. Windows just isn't showing them as even existing. So is there anyway to get them back without losing all the data?
I'm on xp.I'm also on a soyo motherboard. I from what I've read it's a bios/motherboard problem becuase the missing space does not show up in the windows install screen. not even as unused space.
but in bios where it has the drive information it shows it correctly as an 80gb drive...
:confusled:
Any help?
