Missing 90 GB

I have a Maxtor 120 GB HDD. A few days ago, at a LAN party, I switched it with a friend's HDD in order to export a video that I didn't have the space to export. After setting the jumpers to the correct setting on my friend's drive, I booted, did my business, and switched mine back in. I had a little trouble getting it to boot, but rearranging the jumpers fixed it. I never took the drive out of my case during all this.

When I went to watch a movie from the drive, I got told that the drive was unformatted(it's formatted in NTFS..well, it was). I go to format it, but Windows tells me that the drive is only 31 GB. The BIOS agrees as well. I got a data recovery program, and selected the "Recover Lost Drive" option, and when the drive gets scanned, I get the error message, 'bad parameter in boot sector: root directory cluster (4119533773) > count of clusters!'

Does anyone know if my drive is fucked, or if I can recover the other 90 GB? I thought of using Ranish PM to reset the partition, but I'm not sure if this will work, since the BIOS says the drive is 31 GB.
 
By best explanation is somewhere in all of the jumper changing, you told the drive to limit its capacity to 32GB. I know that Hitachi PATA drives have jumper settigns for this capacity limitation. Unfortunately, if there were any writes made to the disk while it was in this state, the file system is at best damaged and at worst a total loss :( Odds are a sector level scanner will pick up any files that were entirely in the lost 90GB or entirely in the first 32GB, but any files spanned across both parts of the disk may be corrupt. Try some of the recovery tools on the Ultimate Boot CD and see what they tell you.
 
Well, that did the trick. I didn't even know that I could limit the capacity with jumpers. Thanks a bunch.
