anyone have any experience with Super Flower PSU?

Here is the one I want:

and the rails are very nice. But I just wanted to know if anyone could provide experience with these things. www.overclockers.com had a review of the 500watt version and it was very stable on the rails, but I don't know if that applies to the 550watt version as well.
 
I'm almost thinking the same thing but it is on sale from 70 down to 50 :)

But overclockers gave it a good review(the 500 watt flavour) and other forums have mentioned them as a good alternative. The only reason I'm inquiring about this brand because of some people telling me to check it out(but I can't find any reviews for that model on google!) and I rather not spend double the price on the Enermax model.

I currently have an Enermax 350W but my overclocking has brought it to a draw and now I'm back at stock until I get a new PSU.
 
stay away from them.... i'm regretting it.... it cant power my 6800GT.... i keeps just shutting off... i get crashes and everything.... its annoying...!!!! i'm so pissed off right now at it you dont understand. just really the rails are bad. mine are 11.73 and then they drop .4 under load usually. i've even had the rails go as low as 10.9

I've heard the occasional complaint similar to khaotica's but most others seem to be satisfied with them...they aren't generic they're more a mid-level quality. They DO have adjustable internal pots to help you hit a voltage sweetspot but make sure you look up this thread before you try. Just be sure not to overspend for it otherwise go for something different. This list covers most psu bases. The best values imho are Fortron/Sparkle but this Tagan has nice specs at its pricepoint as well.

I had a 550w TTGI supply with the 14cm fan and also got .4 to .5v drops on the 12v rail under load on my IC7. It's gone.
 
I've heard great things about them and I did purchase one awhile ago. The rails and PSU seemed fine but it was a bit too loud for me. I returned it and grabbed a Fotron 530 and I'll never buy anything else again.

A ton of major overclockers wear by this PSU and I agree. I've now built quite a few systems with Fortron "FSP" PSU's in them and they are all rock solid. Best bang for your buck!

I would go for antec, or pc power and cooling if you want real wattage. Cuz most rated at 430watts, but test show that they only gave out 200 watts. I read this somewhere on anandtech about comparing psu's. And thermaltake, enermax and some other one only had half the wattage. Antec 430 actually gives out 410 watts.
 
there are internal pots? but I dont know if that will help with my the fact that it still drops .4-.5 volts on my IC7-G, well I am RMA'ing my PSU and I hope that they will give me a unit that functions if not the cool RMA guy said that he would give me something of equal value... until then, I cant use my 6800GT :mad:
 
I got the 450W and voltage was more stable than the Antec True Power 430W that I had. It's about as quiet and also pretty heavy and of good quality. I don't see the complaint. If you think the Antec True Power is good then this Super Flower is good too. I like the fact that it runs for about a minute after you shut off the system and keep running to exhaust out the heat.
I have two and both are great. Stable for overclocking.
 
Anyone happen to have any further comments/experience with these? They're on sale at Directron right now for $30 and comments so far seem quite varied.
 
I've got a Super Flower, and I love it to death. The voltages are a mite over their spec, and the 12v line has 27 amps on it. Plus, mine's got a huge 140mm fan. Gets hot air out of my system quick. They do come cheap just like Fortrons, but you should keep in mind that they're made in the same factory as Fortons. Also, a few people over at XS use Super Flowers.

I'd personally recomend it.
