Mirror XP install to smaller bootable drive?

Hello,

I’m adding a smaller drive which I would like to be my boot drive. It allready is running all kinds of programs,,,maybe 150 gigs worth, I’d like to transfer all to this smaller drive and have it boot and run all the programs that come with it.

Thoughts?

Acronis True Image, Symantec Ghost, or use dd for block copy in Linux.

Assuming the 150 GB would fit with some room left over for normal OS usage, you'd be fine. However, if you are asking if there is a way to fit that 150 GB onto an 80 GB hard drive, well then, no.

The 150 gig is going to a 250gig.
