Mirror finish ?

I recently found a chieftec and while i dont wanna put all the normal bells and whistles on it, would just like to do something simple and good looking...

i read in the case mod FAQ about mirror finishes....but the 2 links in the FAQ are now 404's...

Googling only turned this up for me

Prep it all, take it to a body shop Ask to paint it whatever color. The spraypaint thing isn't a "perfect mirror" but it's close. Auto paint will mirror easily.

if you use linears guide, and follow it step by step with good prep, youll be quite happy with the results.

Liquid: How did you take apart your MX700 mouse? I have the same one and the paint is starting to rub off and all over it and since I will, Hopefully, be building a new computer soon here I would like to make my mouse match. What did you do to take it apart to paint the pieces, so forth and so on. Thanks for info.

1. theres 2 screws holding the whole mouse together: 1 is in the battery compartment, the other is on the bottom near the front right above the glide surface, its market by a small X slit in the product sticker.

2. the mouse should come apart into 2 sections now: the upper part and the lower part (where the internals are). youll be dealing with the upper part when painting.

3. the silver painted parts is connected to the rubberized part by 7 small silver screws, you can see them on the underside. remove those and the silver parts should come out. be care not to loose the little clear plastic peice that pipes the light in when charging your mouse.

if you want to remove that aluminum logitech logo on your MX700 and fill it in with bondo, you can take it off in 2 ways:

1. getting a sharp xacto blade and pry it off slowly.

2. drill a small hole from underneath the emblem and stop once your about to hit it. then poke the emblem out from underneath. if you do it carefully, you can reuse the emblem.
