MiniSD help

I just got me a 1gig minisd flash card for my lg vx8100.

The card works fine in the phone, i can see the amount of space, i can even save stuff to it, so that works like a charme.

Now my reader is a bit funny. It's a crucial all-in-1 reader that connects to the usb port of my pc.

When i first put the minisd in it's adapter and into the reader, it read it and i was able to put mp3's onto.

This may be where i screwed up, instead of pulling the adapter out, i pulled the minisd out of the adapter while it was still plugged into the reader.

After testing the minisd in my phone to make sure the mp3's worked, putting the minisd back into the adapter and back into the reader, it will not read the minisd card now.

The pc see's the reader and the removable drives in my computer, but sticking the adapter and minsd into the reader, i get nothing.

So did i mess up by pulling the minisd out of the adapter, or what?

Any help would be nice.

If you're using windows xp then it's a good idea to stop the device using the "safely remove hardware icon" that is usually in the system tray(double click icon). If possible I'd format the card using the phone, place in the reader, transfer your mp3's, then use the the icon to stop the read/write access to the card in your reader, then remove the card, test it in your phone, then reinsert the card in the reader and see if it works. If so then stop the access again and your set. If not you could try formatting the card using the reader and then adding files, stopping access then test the results. If your using another os then I'd google for an answer.
