Mining with RPi

Disclaimer: Haven't started mining yet. Just reading still and ordered my RPi earlier this week.

Curious if anyone is mining with RPi's and if you are exclusively still doing BTC only or moving on to alternative mining processes?

I know you can't use the eruptors for anything other than the original BTC unless you get an AntMiner or something similar from what I've been reading.

I have my RPi on order and plan to use it for something, whether it be for mining or making a XBMC. That's the whole purpose of me settling on the RPi in the first place. A little inexpensive computer that can be repurposed when my ADHD kicks in and I want to do something else!

I know I won't make any money at this point in BTC but a fella can still dream and experiment!

Little background for those of us not on the bleeding-edge? What is RPi? An ASIC that can be used as a stand-alone server as well?

Ah well, I obviously know what that is, just never saw it abbreviated that way. Carry on.

better off using miners that are USB based, not usb miners, an example would be a chili or a gridseed 5 chip cell. USB powered asics like the gridseed single chip miner and antminers always cost too much to make good money on.

quickedit: and an antminer will make .02BTC in almost a year, so pay less than that each or don't get them unless it's for that 6.66*10^-7th chance of solving a block solo (average time to generate a block being ~250 years)
