Ran into quite a few problems when trying to get the two new 7850's I bought to mine. The cards are XFX Ultra OC Edition 7850's. When crossfireing the cards one is completely blank in AMD control center.
I am using the latest AMD drivers and AMD sdk as well as the latest GUI miner. When I mine with both cards I set the first card to mine and the second one goes to 99% usage and the first card gets 8 khash. When both are working the other gets 50 khash.
I tried both cards separately and I get 90 khash to 150 khash. The cards will crash under any load that brings them past 180 khash and the PC is supper laggy at 150 khash.
I tried different AMD drivers and different miners etc...

What could be wrong and if any one else has this card are you having similar problems?

Thanks.

you positive both cards are good sounds like one is bad also from what i understand you don't use them in crossfire to mine and both cards need a monitor on them or the monitor less one will be turned off by the drivers

What Environment are you running on? Windows? Linux?

Don't mine with cards in x-fire.

Forget GuiMiner and just use CGminer I believe the latest version is that supports Scrypt is 3.7.2 since the dev's dropped support.

I have 2x 7850's getting 380mh/s each running 1100 on core and 1250 on mem. I can post my config file if youd like it. top card at 75* bottom at 67*

I use BAMT 1.2 on a dedicated rig.

These are my cards

Thanks for the response.
Both cards are good tried them one at a time (only one in the PC) I have crossfire off and my last mining set up allowed me to only have one TV connected, with no crossfire, and the mining was good (those were 7950's though)

I'm using Windows 7 64bit and I don't crossfire when mining.
Thanks, I will give CGminer a go tomorrow. If you could give me the thread concurrency and the other settings I would appreciate it.

I'll update if it works out tomorrow, my patience ran out for today.

You need to get the right settings, what settings are you currently running?

(cgminer settings, or gui miner if you tried that?)

I've had terrible luck wtih GUI miner and my 7850. Crashed whenever i tried to push the card (high usage default settings)

I recommend switching to CGminer 3.7.2 as other have said. I seen it recommended when the cards crash to reboot PC or disable the card for 30 seconds in device manager and re-enable it. If you don't cgminer will give you terrible kh/s.

I only tried GUI miner and I used default settings and some personal tweaks I can't remember off hand but it always crashes. Will look into CGminer for sure.

Thanks guys.

guiminer is a more user friendly interface for cgminer, it launches cgminer with the settings you select, try the 7850 low usage settings and see what happens

i am just getting into mining feathercoins been testing on my laptops poolers cpu and cgminer are what i have been doing i tried gui miner and i donno i just did not like it in my travels i have found
this it lists settings for some of the cards and the kh/s they get.
