Minimizing issues

Recently, I have noticed that whenever I try to play a game, the said game will open as usual, and while I am playing/configuring/whatever, the game will minimize to the desktop. I have found that setting the monitor to the native resolution of the game ,or vice versa, seems to fix the problem most of the time. It is highly frustrating to try to play a game that continues to minimize to the desktop every few seconds. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might go about fizing this problem. I switched out my 19" LCD for an old 19" CRT thinking that doing so might help, but so far, this act seems to have been pointless; games continue to minimize to the desktop every few seconds when running. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Perhaps the mischief of some spyware? Run a full, detailed scan using something like Lavasofts Adaware. Be sure to update its definition file if you do use that.

^^^ If you are, switch to the console version.. The graphical version will minimize your games.. Otherwise, you have some program or another, possible virus/spyware, stealing focus..

Ah, F@H, I will try closing that to se if that helps. I was unaware that keeping the graphical version running in the background would minimize my games. I will keep you guys posted. Thanks so much for the help so far.

Alrighty, well, the F@H issue seems to be the source of problem. I just exited F@H (no internet anyway) and everything seems to be working fine now. Thanks so much for all the help guys. I have never run into this issue before, so I really didn't have a clue what the porblem was.

Its just an issue with the graphical version of F@H afaik. Just run the console version as a service, and use EM3 to monitor progress.
