Are there any small LCD monitors that can support 800x600, is lightweight and can very easily be carried around by hand? Would be useful as a portable monitor to check out the VGA feed for monitorless servers/workstations around the place.

Why can't you just remote into the things? Why do you need the VGA feed from the actual box?

EDIT:alternately, you could get yourself a portable mini-projector:

That thing is pretty portable even with the battery pack. You can probably find cheaper models if that's too much dosh, but they may be larger and require power cords.

That seems like a clunky solution to your problem, why not have a screen shot taken every few minutes and either sent to your phone or uploaded as a jpg to a URL that you pull up from your mobile phone? Even if your mobile phone has a smaller screen some scrolling to view the whole image isn't going to kill you.

You could even set up a live video stream and view that from your mobile phone.
