I was thinking about getting another folding boxen, yes I've got the bug just not as bad as relic or majic, and I was looking at mini-itx boards. So i'm kinda curious on everyone thoughts about these boards. Would they be good for a folding box?

If you are speaking of the ones that have the VIA processor on them, unless something has drastically changed since the last one I tested (VIA 900mhz), they are very slow Folders, due to the CPUs having terrible FPU performance. I would think for almost any D.C. project the results would be similar. Even a Celeron would be noticably better.

For many of you may not know, Via has upped the speed of the processors past 1ghz and they have developed the Nano- size MB about the size of a 1dollar bill, this little board will also go up to 1ghz.

Just check out the size of it, and now you can put it anywhere.

The VIA CPUs are nice for home theater systems and even for general office tasks, but their FPUs are extremely weak, as CIWS said. A celeron or a lowend XP would dramatically outperform the VIA for DC projects.

Yea the edens are realy not up to it. When that enden n board comes out though I'll have to pick one up for something(you know it will be a fun project). Get a matx board and a celeron/amd chip for the folding though.
