Mini-ITX PSU Standard?

Is there a standard for the shape/size/mounting of Mini-ITX PSU's or are you stuck with what comes in your case?

I built a new Media Center system using an Atom 330 based ZOTAC IONITX-F-E board. Other components in the system are:

4GB RAM
2TB WD Green
DVD Drive
Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250
Win7 Pro 64-bit

I looked at a lot of Mini-ITX cases, but they all had a different shape and size PSU in them. Lian Li has a nice Mini-ITX case that will take a standard ATX PSU, but it was too big to fit on the shelf under my TV. I ended up going with a Rosewill RC-CIX-01 BK case which came with a 150W PSU.

Yesterday the PSU crapped out on me. It would shut off randomly while running or anytime I plugged in a USB device. I borrowed a 650W PSU from my old desktop and have it sitting outside the case powering the system.

I'm debating whether or not to RMA the case just for a PSU, buy a new PSU or buy a different case. I went ahead and put in an RMA refund request for the case today because my 30 days to RMA will be up by the time they re-open after the holidays.

If I look up Mini-ITX power supplies at NewEgg, they are all about the same dimensions (1.7" x 3.2" x6"), but different than what comes in this case (2.5" x 2.5" x 6"). I see a couple of other cases with the same shape of PSU in them as this one, and others are completely different.

After looking at some other Mini-ITX cases, I've discovered that some of them use an SFX/MicroATX type power supply. I may go on with the refund of this case and go with one of those so I'll know I have a standard type PSU replacement in the future.

I've also been looking at the picoPSU as a possible replacement for this dead PSU. It would work better in this case since the PSU is mounted in the front of the case, so that won't be any holes in the rear of the case after removing the PSU. The only problem with this route is the cost, about $60-70 with a power brick.

I would personally go with a new case that supports mATX PSUs if I were in your position. It's a more standard size, and you'll be able to find a quality PSU more easily and for a lower price compared to a PicoPSU setup.
