Does anyone make a mini rack for home network gear?
I just want to clean up the setting for a modem, router and 4 port switch with some wire management. Hopefully for $100 or less.
I dont want to go ghetto like the rackDIY $8 home network

Repost since my original post from last night has disappeared...again.

googling mini-rack I came across this:

You might also try the eBay or a local electronics recycler if you're not looking to spend a whole lot of money. You would be surprised at what you can find at University Surplus stores or computer recycling shops. I almost went home with a $25 Compaq server rack on wheels, but the wifey said no .. . . .

My neighbor took a 42" 2-post rack that his work was going to throw out. We cut it into 12U pieces, he took the top one and I took the bottom one and then tossed the rest of it. I used lag bolts to fasten the bottom part that bolts to a floor to the floor joists in the ceiling of my basement and then a rack-mount tray makes the new "bottom" of the rack. Looks nice and works well, couldn't beat the price . . . .:D

I alread have a mess like that. (No offense intended. ) That looks almost exactly like what I have.

Looks like some extended stays in the old work shop in the near future for me.
Like my sig says, I think way too far outside the box.

BTW way everyone when I said mini rack I was looking for something short AND narrow.
The link Capt posted is pretty close to what I want, but not at that price!

10" gear is pretty uncommon. Take a look at flightcases on ebay. Fairly compact and cheap compared to stuff from Panduit, BlackBox, and the like.
