From the developers of Shovel Knight.
I started playing this over the past couple of nights. And its really good.
If you ever start thinking about maybe i could play an older Zelda game---play this instead!
I recently watched the reveal trailers for the Ocarina of Time Remake, and was thinking about some past Zelda games and then......oh yeah! Mina The Hollower released a few months ago!
Gameplay-wise, its basically Alundra, mixed with a little bit of Dark Souls (for combat and gear)
And if you don't know: Alundra is basically Zelda, with more jumping and verticality. (I also highly recommend Alundra). Another game with some similarities would be Crusader of Centy, on Sega Genesis. Which again, is Zelda with more jumping and plane switching.
The visual style is like a Gameboy Color Zelda game---sorta. The screens are actually a little bit more detailed and full of enemies and environmental objects (due to 16:9 widescreen and no limitation on amount of active sprites)
But, the overall visual style, is extremely reminiscent of Gameboy Color.
Its also ported to just about everything. So, you can play it where you want. This would be rad on Switch.

I kinda dont actually recommend watching trailers. But, here's a short one if you need it:

And this is entertaining but.....you also probably shouldn't watch it for long. Unless you REALLY need some convincing to play this!
