Min PSU required for GTX770 SLI

Why not list the exact psu? That system would probably use 600 watts max but that "1000 watt psu" could be a piece of crap for all anyone knows.

A pair of 770's will draw around 500 watts at the wall while gaming according to Anand and so 550 would be the absolute minimum but 650 would be where Id prefer to start. A good 750 would be about right.

It's a thermaltake toughpower psu, a little bit old but rock-solid.

no, you need a 5000W power supply with a dedicated 50A circuit. nothing else will do.

I guess I'll buy have to buy 4 more and try and squeeze them into the case somehow....

You won't go much past 500W total consumption unless you're running heavily overclocked hex-core i7. With a 2500k @ 4.6GHz and 2x780s at 1150mhz, I barely break 600W. You'll be just fine.
*This is assuming you don't have a garbage PSU.
