Okay just spec'ing up a new system and have come to the power supply and I'm confused (guess like others); it's just all previous builds have just the included case psus, but that now seems to be inadequate.
Components:
Core 2 Duo E6600 (overclocked hopefully)
Asus P5N-E SLI (nvidia nforce 650)
2 X 1GB Ocz RAM
Sound Blaster PCI Audio
2 X SATA Harddisks, Pioneer + LiteOn DVD-Writers
Card Reader/Fan Controller, 3.5" Floppy
BFG 8800GTS OC Graphics (Nvidia) PCI-Express
What PSU?
Priorties: Sufficient Power, Quiet as possible, Cost
Very unlikely to SLI the graphics at any point since more likely to change it and I see SLI certified PSUs for this card are way too expensive!
Options (so far):
Enermax Liberty ELT400AWT £47
Antec TruePower Trio 430W £47
Antec NEO430GB £51
Enermax Noisetaker II 485 £58 (noiser than the others?)
Antec NEO500GB £60
Zalman ZM460-APS £61
Enermax Liberty ELT500AWT £69
Corsair HX520W £70
Zalman ZM600-HP £73
The BFC site says the following is required for the graphics:
A 425W PCI Express-compliant system power supply with a combined 12V current rating of 28A or more.
Thus, which is the cheapest/best bet from the above (or other comparable UK models)?
