These 7-inch Mimo monitors from Korean manufacturer Nanovision look like the perfect mini-displays to set up widgets, chat windows, and other software that doesn't require too much real state—perfect to make your awesome computer rig even more awesome. The good: They only require a USB 2.0 port. The better: As you can see in the gallery, they can rotate and one model is a touchscreen. The best: they are really cheap. And the bad? Sadly, they are Korea-only for now.

So how are we gonna get them to sell abroad? They're so cheap, even I would consider!

That's amazing! Although, I'm skeptical that they would be able to run videos. I wonder if any GPU acceleration would work over these. I mean, I wouldn't want these to burdan the CPU to badly.

Score!

While we were led to believe that Nanovision's MIMO line of diminutive LCDs would be stuck in South Korea for the foreseeable future, it appears that a trio of 'em are now shipping to North America.

Holy crap those things are awesome.

Must convince Mr. Boss Man we need these. They are a critical part of our infrastructure!

I wonder if these would work with a Mac Mini. Have the mini as a HTPC playing on the big screen and this monitor to display the internals. Hmmm.

I don't really see the point in these besides if you're completely strapped for desk space. 17-19" LCDS go on sale all the time for around 75-100. And you can get a used 17" LCD for $50 easily nowadays.

Hmm... Is the touch screen multi touch? I'm not sure I'd want to pay 200$ unless it's multitouch.

Wow, I totally want a few of these.

And I totally forgot that this was a search and not a first page topic. Sorry for bringing this back up top.

I just got one of these, the 710 from ThinkGeek.. the USB power part was really what sold me. Basically the ability to get power from an already efficient PSU, rather than another boiling hot wall wart. :p

So yeah.. very cool little device. The text size is dinky but it's nice to have Steam chat or Speedfan, or even just a clock, running on the side.
