So is there a good way to clone my current Windows installation on my new Vertex 3 (from my Intel X25-M)? I don't really feel like doing a fresh install if I don't have to.
Don't worry about alignment. You already have windows installed on SSD. Just use built-in windows backup to backup to USB drive. Then replace drive and restore to new one. That's it.
