I have to move a bunch of systems and instead of doing it the old fashioned way has anyone come across a automated tool they trust to do this?

Mapped docs and settings, printers and mapped network shares.

I have seen alot over the years but would have to "try" one on a client which i would like to avoid.

Check out Profwiz from forensiT. Its either that one or the other tool from. Can't remember ATM.
 
XP and 7 have tools for this.

7 is Easy Transfer
XP it's it's files and settings wizard or something

Both are under %program files%\acessories\system tools

You run it and select "this is my old pc" and then disjoin and run it again and say "this is my new computer"

they've always had this. Even gets the wallpaper choice, and icon location in my experience
 
Profwiz seems to go the other direction however i might just try the built in tools liek you said as they are mostly xp.
