I'm looking for a good mid-tower case with a SATA backplane. I currently have a CM690 which is great, but I really hate having to screw around with opening the right side panel and messing with cables any time I need to plug or unplug a hard drive.

Is anyone making these yet? It seems like it would go right along with any of these cases that have the slide-in mount for the hard drives. All I have seen is the Corsair 800D which (sadly and confusingly) only has 4 plugs on the backplane.

The Chenbro SR10569 has the option to have 4 hot swap bays in the front. It may be larger than what you consider a "mid tower" though Chenbro website Keep in mind the hot swap cage is about 60 dollars extra. This is probably the only "pc style" case with hot-swap bays which isn't some $$ old lian-li or such. The 10769 has another 4 bays but is a server-style case.

Sorry to dig out an old thread. But for those who own this case, is there a way to alter the rear fan to a thicker but quiet fan?

I changed from a CM690 to a Corsair 650D, and the case is amazing! It has a very solid build, brushed aluminium front and the best a slot on top for hot swapping hard drives!!
