ok so im gonna bring back an old classic full tower...

its gonna have at least 6 5 1/4 bay drives...maybe 9 if i feel like puttin that many on there...

its a huge B****

~Ride For Christ~
i was thinkin of a name and this one poped in my head...
because at night its real dark but still glows a little...
so thats what im goin for...the outside is gonna be painted black...but have a mirror finish on it...and the inside is goin to be black as night....
on the inside im gonna paint everything black as far as the case....
im gonna get some black wire wrapping...so my wires hide in the blackness of the case.... :) well hopefully....
and then when i cut my design out what it ends up being...gonna have blue lights lighting that up....might put something behind those so the light does light the whole case....just the window and maybe a little of the case....since i wont be able to stop it from lightin some of the inside of the case....
then maybe put like RFC the size of 2 or 3 5 1/4 bays....i dont know though...what yall think of that?
or something that has midnight stealth in it up there....

got a few questions before i start.....

its white...beige....whatever...its ugly....

so as far as paint...i was thinkin black:high gloss...the fusion stuff....and then like the dull black for the inside....

now as far as fan placement...
i was thinking.....

FRONT:
1 120mm Delta high speed at the bottom shooting air to the back....
then maybe another one just above that doin the same thing....?

LEFT SIDE:
i was thinkin 1 120mm Delta high speed right infront of the HS.....so that would help cool it even more...right?
and would i need one anywhere else on the side of it? that you could think of that would help me get a nice flow....

THE BACK SIDE:
i was thinkin either a 120mm or 92mm fan blowing the hot air out of the back of the case

TOP:
either a 92mm or 120mm blow hole......

ok as far as the front...the bay drive dont have any covers on them....
so im gonna have to think of something cool to cover them up with....
maybe some mesh looking stuff? ooooooooooooor i dont know need some ideas on that one...

ok as far as windows on the sides....i havnt really found anything cool yet to cut out in it....
i was thinkin maybe big ol initials or a symbol or something like that...but its gotta work with my 120mm fan that would be on that side...
so i dont know...

i got till mid next week to figure this out cause the case is comin from canada....

now for the pics....

well let me know what yall think and help me with some ideas.....

thanks...

Deltas? Ouch. Unless you are wanting to kill your ears or NEED that airflow, put in Panflo's or lower dba rated fans instead. Also remember, Balance of intake and exhausts. Throwing fans left and right will not only result in a jumbo jet of a case, your also gonna have crappy, turbulent airflow and your temps won't be that great. Think of what equipment your gonna be putting in their. Alot of people get caught up in the "Wow, I can put a fan here, here, there" and then ask "My case is to loud, whats wrong? Why do my temps suck?"

And those fan grills are about as usefull as tits on a borehog, cut them out to help the fans breath easier and reduce backpressure and noise.

Whered your faceplates go? Gonna be kinda tough to cover up those empty drive bays unless you have that many optical drives to throw in their.

If you wanna see what I mean, take a look at my latest case project here

you dont need deltas lmao...

for the cpu, depending on what its gonna be id say xp120 for an intel, or an xp90c

if its and amd, xp90 or a thermaltake silentboost K8

just use some decent 120mm fans, no need for uber loud deltas IMO unless you dont care about noise *whistles*

and chop out those gawd awful covers for the fans <_< worse than my raidmax case! lol

im thinking high gloss inside as well... itd look really neat...

heres a nifty idea IMO

WHITE LEDS on an angle under the mobo reflecting off the high gloss paint, make it *different* and youll have a nice glow from under the mobo, look really wicked IMO

and if you want as much black as possible, get an AMD athlon 64 for the processor and a k8n neo2 or something along that line :) nice and dark, plus its a great mobo :)

Well the pics were without the bay drives cause he couldnt find them till after he took the pics....
i will cut the already made fan holes in that case....
i got fan controllers for the deltas so they wont be all that loud....

ok i bought this stuff...
http://www.misterart.com/store/view.cfm?store=001&group_id=8420
its the back gloss paint...not the one shown up top...but its the same kinda stuff....

ok bought some juts normal circle fan grills...to cover the fans....gonna paint them black too....

ok bought some of these grills....
http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v354/nippyjun/120mm_Grill_Chrome_style_1.jpg
just cause they look different and they were real cheap...like 50 cents a peice...

then for fan holes....
http://www.mnpctech.com/UChannel.html
i got that....

my fan setup

i was thinkin something like that....so the 2 fans over the CPU area are gettin air and it would be cooling everything on the mobo...CPU...video card...RAM...and all that...

already have that :)
it is a great mobo :)

beautiful :) i still say the LED's would be a great touch, also if you put them UNDER the board theyd lite some of the thin spots around the traces :) backlit mobo :) wewt

i think i might have to do that....so we will see what i can come up with here in the next few days....

ok omega....
i did some looking...found a couple things...help me choose the best one...
1) http://www.jab-tech.com/customer/product.php?productid=2561&cat=83&page=1
just cut a hole in the mobo tray in the middle of the mobo and stick it there...so it lights the back equally.....????

2)http://www.jab-tech.com/customer/product.php?productid=2454&cat=83&page=1
the same as above...just 4 lights not 3....?????

ok is that what your talkin about first of all???
and if it is how you think those would look if i put them in the middle of the mobo behind it....
so the light would equally come out of the back of it...
if one of those wont do the job...i could also buy 2 of them or something....

ok i decided to put RFC at the top of the side panel...
with it havin like a half circle arc to it...

so far those are some of the decent lookin ones ive found....
if you could help me out finding a good looking font...it would be greatly appreciated....

so far im leaning toward #2.......
but let me know what yall think...
keep in mind...the letters will be almost as big a peice of paper too....

FONT #4 IMO its more modern :)

and i ment manually stick the LED's under the mebo facing out but not in a casing so the light eill shine through the mobo and light up the thin spots and backlight it :)

then again you COULD buy some of those laser LED packs and remove the casing and do that :) but make sure you cover any bare metal LOL

ok well i could take them out of the casing....and stick them back there....in the middle?? of the mobo so it shines out equally....right?

not quite the middle lets ee if i can do this in ascii..

evil coding doesnt like it :(

ok heres what i was thinking for my side panel....

keep in mind it will be spaced out more than that...
and the saddle bronc pic will be just an outline and it will be lined up even with the cross...where the horses head is right there almost touching the cross...

ok did some tinkering my side up there a couple post just looked funny....
so i came up with these 2...so yall can get a better idea...
which one yall like better?
or what can i do to make htem better?
1)
2)

case name change....because of my idea...sort of a goin away present to myself...since my rodeo career is over...as far as in college it is....maybe ill hit some pro shows...i just dont know...so i wanna have this case awesome...to give me something to remember the good times......

ok made another side panel layout....i really like this one....
let me know what yall think....

and which one you like so far...

looking good, I like that one the best :D

yes me too....gonna take some extra care to cut that part out around the cross :)
oh well its gonna be fun...should turn out lookin real nice...

ok finally.....
got some a pic of everything thats goin into this...
except the case should be here tomorrow though....

ill paint the fan grill heres in a little bit and post those pics also....

Just asking...You aren't using the Fusion stuff for metal parts are ya? I thought it was just for plastic? I hope you get some good results. Looking foraward to some more pics!

yes i am usin the fusion stuff.....
it says its made for plastic....
but will also work on metal.....
haha so we will find out how good it does work when i try it out on my case...

ok here goes....got a lot of pics to show yall....

case in peices...

case taped up....

back 80mm hole cut....

front 120mm hole drawn...

front 120mm cut

120mm hole on other front peice....

top 120mm hole cut out...

so no one knows where i can get those adapters for cheap....or heck just get the adapters....

oh and an update on those diamond cutting disks i bought......
they couldnt even cut a hole in the case....all they did was just scratch it.....it was rediculous i was expecting some badass cutting disks....and all i did was blow $7.....

just bend the fan pins off the mobo connecotrs a bit or make your own molex connectors :)

SVC.com usually has sensibly priced cables/adapters AND they ship USPS 1st class. Somehow I just feel wrong about paying the $10 shipped for a bit of wire that most places want.

ive got the same hollister shirt :D

ok here are some updates.....
cut 2 more holes....
and started priming....
on the front plastic panel decided to go ahead and prime it....since i was bored....but ill be redoing the bottom when the parts come in....

92mm back hole cut....

feet and grills...

sanded panel...took pic after first round of sanding....did 3 more.....

sanded top...first round....

tops seperated....

tops put together....

primed 1.....

primed 2....

primed 3.....

ok after about 2 hours of cutting.......
i come up with this.....
havnt had time to sand the edges down yet....but ill get to that tomorrow...

drawn before cut....

cut out...

cut out 2...

the cowboy is on the right side of the case....im still goin to put that cross and bronc rider on the left....that cowboy idea just jumped into my head and had to roll with it....i think it turned out great.... :)

ok so i got the left side panel drawn.....hopefully it turns out good.....lots of small corners....
well here ya go....

no im gonna go eat some lunch then start on makin it look pretty :)
