Hi,
I recently bought a midi cable and tried to plug my keyboard in. I cant see that ive done anything wrong but it does not seem to work. Can someone explain how to install it, if it needs installing, and what plugs in where. Also is there any way of testing if it works without using an expensive piece of software, just a nice simple windows program (if there is such a thing).

Any help much appreciated as Im a bit new and stupid to all this midi stuff!
