Mid Tower or SN25P?

Here is a list of parts I'm looking at buying asap. This pc will be for gaming. I'll be playing WoW, HL2, CS: Source, and of course BF2!
There are a couple things I'm really unsure of. First - I'm not sure if these would be "better" in a Mid to Full tower or in a SFF. I've always wanted a XPC so I'm definetly going to put one on my short list ;) Second - I'm not sure about which CPU would be better for gaming... also how would the onboard sound fair in the above listed games?

Please post your thoughts, opinions, and/or recommendations on what I've selected below.

Shuttle XPC (Model # SN25P) -or- Mid/Full Tower
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ -or- AMD Athlon 64 4000+ (San Deigo)
BFG Tech GeForce 7800 GTX OC 256MB
Corsair RAM (1GB, 2GB if I can afford it!)
Western Digital "Raptor" 74GB (SATA/150)
Plextor PC-716SA (SATA/150) (I'm not 100% sure about which Plextor drive to get yet)

Thanks for any info you can provide :D

Well, right now I'm in the middle of a transition from a midtower to an sn25p. Can't really say one is "better" than the other, the midtower will of course be more versatile in that you have a wide range of mobos, psus, etc that can go in it, not to mention more drives, etc. The shuttle has it's advantages too. Personally, I'm getting one because I want something smaller, and I just think they're really sweet.

Also, the onboard audio should be just fine for pretty much anything. I believe it supports eax 1.0 and 2.0, so you're covered for games.

sff's are the lan solution or for compactability issues. if you have any concerns towards oc'ing I'd stay full tower. stay amd but get an audigy 2 sound card if you're picky about frame rates. taking the plunge on the 7800 eh? niiiice

IIRC putting a 7800GTX into a SN25P requires a little modding of the fan shroud (or its removal perhaps?), so keep that in mind.

I didn't have to do any modding with mine (BFG), the card fit right in without issues.

My Venice A64 3200 is running just fine in my SN25P at 2.55ghz (I haven't tried pushing it more yet). I've got 2gb of corsar value ram at a 5/6 divider however, since I wanted the 2gb instead of the 1gb OCZ rev plat 2 I had (which ran fine at 2.5 ghz at a 1:1 divider) I heard the value ram was ok at overclocking to the 230 range.

no pics needed man it does fit right in no issues. bfg 7800gtx in a sn25p guaranteed good time. damn thing weighs in like a laptop and hits like a full tower. ohand if money is an issue U HAVE TO GET 2 GIGS. don't short it there man go to a single core w/ 2 gigs instead of dual core w 1 gig.

Love mine, 4200+ @ 2.5GHz with 2GB of Crucial Value ram, X850XTPE, Raptor 74GB, and 2 other 300GB drives...

Really does well, love the power with the size... lans are simple now ;p

I dont know, but this will and it is silent when on the quiet mode. Works great over stock as well.
Zalman VGA Cooler, Model "VF700-Cu"
