I was looking at a few PSU's on newegg this week for an upgrade. I have my eye on two on particular, but i was looking for a little more info before i whip my credit card out.

Antec Neo Eco 620c

I've never seen any reviews on this unit, what exactly is inside it? A few people told me its just a neopower with the word eco slapped on the end of it.

Seasonic S12II 520

Comes to about the same price (with shipping) as the Neo Eco, but is bronze certified.

Some friends told me to just get the seasonic and be done with it, but i could use a little [H] recommendations. For all intents and purposes it would be powering the rig in my sig, but room for upgrades down the road. Possibly a quad core in the future, at the least.

I think you have picked 2 winners!:D

The Antec 620W is rated for +12V@48A, the Seasonic 520W is rated for +12V@40A. I believe that Seasonic builds these Antecs, but Paul or Jon could tell us for sure.

Either is enough for your system with a Quad & some OC'ing, but given the prices & an uncertain future, the Antec with its +12V@48A is the better & safer buy.

Who knows, some day you may want CF/SLI or something that will use more amperage.

The Seasonic S12 is not modular...the M12 is the modular version of the S12

The S12II is not modular. That would be the M12II. As for those two PSUs, they are based on the same design, though I believe the Seasonic uses slightly better components. Either way, you can't go wrong.

After some further thought i went ahead and ordered the Antec. I'm suprised the antec im using now hasn't died years ago :D
