hi there people i need a MID range gaming laptop and im kinda confused on which will be the best way to go on this decision .. pretty much i narrow it down to 2 options :

Lenovo Y580 Screen Size 15.6"

Asus G74SX Screen Size 17.3"

please help me make the best decision, im on a 600-700 dlls budget .. dont wanna have overheating issues ill buy cooling pad but if its the asus it doesnt look like a cooling pad will help cause it doesnt have any ventilation ports at the bottom .. also screen size is something thats killing me .. i dont know if the LENOVO 15.6" 1366x768 will be any good against the 17.3" 1920x1080 that the ASUS is running ( correct me if im wrong ) so please guys i cant make a bad decision or ill be screwed, mainly i play LOL, BF2 and BF4 and also some HD video editing .. i kinda like the ASUS cause its big and looks better made but again im no expert when it comes to laptops :(

thanks for taking the time to read this ... hope you guys can help me make the best decision ;)

How much are you paying for these? They're rather old technology and second hand so hopefully not $700 or near it.

In my opinion, these are low end gaming notebooks. I consider mid-range closer to the $1500 dollar bracket. High-end gaming notebooks are around $3000

Also, I would never buy a used gaming notebook, I don't care how broke you are.
