I just installed Visual Studio 2015 and I would like create a shortcut to my Desktop. I am not sure if I missed the question to do this install but I am trying to do it now and can not figure out how. I have Windows 10 home edition.

I tried to right click on the program but it only shows me Pin to Start menu and Taskbar, I want to create a shortcut to desktop. Does anybody know how to do this?

Click on the icon in the start menu, drag to the desktop holding shift.

holding shift and dragging to desktop didn't work when I tried it but what does work is right clicking the start menu icon, then clicking "more" and "open file location", then you can right click the shortcut in explorer and drag that to the desktop and select 'create shortcut here'.
