Microsoft Update Taking forever...

I recently got back from a 2 week trip and had 3 new microsoft updates for Win 7. It's probably been an hour now and it's hung on 2 out of 3 installing updates....should I let it continue to chug or just force reboot the machine and try to update again manually?
