Microsoft Student Discount questions?

I was curious if anyone knew of Microsoft offering a student discount for their new Windows 7 in x64 preferably. I'm still on XP Pro and would like to upgrade by Christmas. My Student book-store charges outrageous prices for Vista right now and it's only in 32 bit. :rolleyes:


They want 206 dollars for Home Baisc. :rolleyes:


Then 80 dollars for a stand-alone upgrade to Windows 7 x64.


I am better off just going to newegg, so I was wondering if contacting Microsoft directly might give me a better deal.
 
Keep an eye on the Hot Deals section they usually post many of the student discounts that are available. Many of which offer retail Windows 7 at huge discounts, forget paying anything near $100 or above right now there seem to be several options for students to get Windows 7 at varying discounted prices.
