Microsoft Responds To NSA Data Sharing Allegations

Comrade Snowden giving up everything thing he knows to the former Soviet Union may not end up being such a good thing after all.

It's good for many reasons, including the world economy as this whole realization is bound to move all kinds of services out of US.

Like Russia and China, those great bastions of freedom, liberty and privacy.

I've been in China and you can't do way more shit there then here. They are far more capitalistic then USA is.

No where is perfect they are Socialistic states and USA is increasingly becoming a Fascist State.

LOL and we should take their word for it because? :p

Bottom line, these days, is you cannot trust ANYONE. Especially not mega corporations or the government. Go with open source stuff or make it in house. Any services like email you should host yourself... on a server that is not in the US.

Just pointing to where Snowden went and where he is now.

No, you're making snarky comments and insinuating that Snowden is a spy for the Russians or Chinese. I would like to know why his current place of refuge is more of a concern to you than what he exposed. I suppose you'd be more comfortable with the NSA spying on everyone without anyone knowing about it? That horse is already out of the barn. If you think Snowden is a traitor, and traitors bother you, then what about the people in the US government that by implementing and taking part in programs like PRISM are violating the constitution, and any oath taken to defend that constitution? What about those traitors? Why is Snowden worse because he's brought their actions out into the open? If he kept silent, then he'd be complicit, just like the others. So tell us, which kind of treason do you prefer - the kind that requires someone to seek asylum elsewhere, or the kind that supports an oppressive authoritarian system?

Snowden is a hero. He was a gear in the government machine, and one of few that refused to be part of this machine, and stood up for the people to reveal what's going on. I hope Russia protects him well. If the US finds him, he's pretty much a dead man.

Kinda of Ironic since Heatlessun works for a Bank which most likely got a bailout from the government..

His current place of refuge has on of the most infamous intelligence operations on the planet. Of course I'm concerned about the nature of the information he exposed. But if you have to actually worry about spying an espionage against this country, the US isn't the only country or organization that does it, you have to be concerned about the information that Snowden and who he's sharing it with.
