Microsoft Media Center IR Receiver replacement usb cable?

My new puppy chewed through the cable to my Microsoft IR receiver. I thought of soldering it back together, but I pulled it apart and there is a white clip-in connector on the board...can I purchase that usb/connector cable alone? Any input/thoughts would be appreciated.

If you can find out what that part is, you could probably find it on eBay. But even that would be hit or miss.

OP what microsoft product does that ir receiver belong to?

It's model 1040, version 1.0A with the RC6 remote. Both items are branded Microsoft. It's just like the one in the link below, but it has "Microsoft" on top of the housing.

I agree. If I knew what to call the cable I might be able to find one.

ask microsoft. if not, i'd simply solder the cable back together, unless $20 is negligible to you (cost of a replacement on eBay, apparently).
