Microsoft CALs Licensing

Its been awhile since I have had to deal with this task, but I wanted a refresher on licensing basics from MS.

Example Network:
1. If I have a domain controller i need a User CAL per user in the domain?

2. Then if I have a dedicated file-server, do I need User cals for all every user that connects to the shares?

3. I have SQL on a few servers, so I will need SQL CALs per user for each server?

There are mutiple servers usually performing one or two services as to not have so many in one hat. So I am just trying to clearify each server will need User CALs for their services on top of having a CAL for the domain.
 
1 - User CAL or Device CAL...your choice
2 - No additional beyond the CALs for users or devices that you already have on the DC, except another Server license
3 - A license for SQL itself, as well as SQL CALs for the amount of users.
