MicroServer N40L Question

Hello,

I have a HP MicroServer N40L on its way. I am wondering if they support VTd like the N36L does. HP doesn't list anything and I can't find anything either. I just want to be able to pass my SiL3132 card to a VM since ESXi doesn't actually support said card.

The N40L looks like it has a AMD Turion II Neo 1.5Ghz. According to Wikipedia, all of the AMD Turion Dual-Core CPUs support AMD-V, but no mention of VT-d. I'm not sure the exact model though, There isn't a Turion II Neo listed exactly like that.

It does say it has 2MB of cache, so I'm assuming that the exact model is "Turion II K625".

So provided the BIOS supports it I should be able to pass my SiL3132 card to a Fedora VM. Sweet.

Maybe someone else with personal experience can comment, since it doesn't look like it support AMD-Vi (AMD's version of VT-d) though.

Yeah, just found this that says the N36L model doesn't support AMD-Vi
