This is not really a computer audio question but i know the people in this forum are extremely knowledgeablt about audio in general so i hope somebody here can help me:
I'm bidding on a Shure KSM32 right now and there's a pretty good chance I'll win. The catch is that it doesnt come with a shockmount. After some googling, I found the average price of a KSM32 shockmount to be over a $100. Shockmounts for the Shure KSM27, on the other hand, go for around $60. The two mics appear to be externally identical. So my question is, will a KSM27 shockmount work with a KSM32 mic. Thanks alot in advance.
The specs for the Shure KSM32
55.9 mm (2.20 in.) maximum body diameter, 187 mm (7.37 in.) long 490 grams (17.3 oz.)
and for the KSM27:
Dimensions: 2.2 inches diameter, 6.15 inches long, 22.6 ounces

The shock mounts for the two are different. The part you need for the KSM32 is Shure Part# A32SM. The KSM32 is a nice mic I have only used it on a couple occasions, once for drum overheads and once to mic a guitar cab, both in a live environment. I've heard it's nice to use on vocals in a studio environment.
