Microphone problems (GA-K8NS 754)

Hello, I recently purchased Gigabyte's GAK8NS(754 version) along with an Antec Super Lanboy. Everything seems to be working properly more or less, except that my mic out refuses to work in the front or rear of the case. I've checked all connections, and since the Lanboy's front adapters that plug into the mobo is just one large block, there isn't much I can do. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?
