Ok I built a computer, and when I plug the microphone into the corresponding jack, I still cant talk on ventrilo servers, what do I do to make the mic work on the new comp?
 
Start > programs > accessories > entertainment > sound record

do that and test ur mic in there first. if you can record yourself and play it back then it works and you have to change some settings in ventrilo.

if your mic works in other applications then you're going to have to fool around with your vent settings.
