ok, lets start this like this.
I have done all I can think about doing, so I am turning to my trusty H, whenever I have been talking to people over voice they say they can hear a echo and when I talk I hear myself back threw thier speakers I assume, On steam voice test when i am testing my mico when I talk I echo.. i'm running out of ideas.

ok here is what I have done, I took the 3.5 headphones and mic from the front and moved to the back to test that. still nothing.

I right clicked my HD realtek manager and muted the playback on the mic, I made sure the
"listen to this device" is unchecked.
I am using a GA-EP35C-DS3R motherboard, and X12 headphones, I was using a generic type and I figured it was they headphones, but I went and got some good phones and stillt he same thing... please any help would be helpful.

Right Click Volume Icon - Select Recording Devices - Select Custom Tab...

Is "Monitoring" checked? If so, un-check this.

ohh i forgot to say, i'm on windows 7
2.4 quad Q6700. 8 gig ram. gtx 660TI nvidia.

I looked and I dont have a Monitoring area to check or uncheck.

Hmmm...I'm all out of ideas then.

Have you check the "Listen to this device" setting for the line-in device?

What devices do you have listed under sound / recording tab. A screenshot would be nice

here is a fast paste of what im looking at... also i used to have a crop program where i could snap shot a image on my pc and crop. what program could i use for future images lol.

What's your internet upload speeds? Our telephone runs through the internet, and when our upload speeds drop, it will exhibit an echo effect on the receiving end.

Sorry for the late reply, as far as i can tell your config looks normal to me. Now you stated earlier when you did the steam voice test there was an echo. If the listen to this device option was really unchecked and you did hear an echo not a delay then your issue is in the realtek hd manager. It could be someone's headset mic is picking up your chatter from their speaker and its looping back into his or her headset .

Since you did the self test through steam the latter seems highly unlikely. I assume you did the obvious, disable enhancements and stereo mix. I didnt see that in your screenshots.

Ummmm.... cropping has been in Paint for a fair bit (I'm going to assume that's what you used to save those screenshots).

All you do is paste in the screenshot and hit the 'Crop' button on the toolbar. Bam, instantly cropped.

How close / far are you from the MIC?

Do you have the software installed for your sound card and any special effects enabled on it?
