Microfly temp LCD dead

Anyone had their temp display suddenly die? I just rebuilt into this case and the display worked for about an hour then nothing. The backlight is on so I know it's getting power but there is nothing on the display.

Ideas?

I've had one or two cases with the exact same symptoms. I do know that if the temperature is too low/high that it doesn't display right.

Hmm... the sensor is right under my cpu heatsink which is hanging out around 40C in core temp.

I've had one die on me too. The backlight just stays lit but nothing is displayed. It can also happen from something metal touching the back/side of the LCD and shorting the readout function. I couldn't find a way to fix mine, but it was new enough to where I just exchanged it for a new one.

Well then that leaves the question, is that front molex connector just for the lcd? I'd be happy to unhook it and hide the front wires a little better.

I had a simular problem but mine wasn't because the temp. display failed. I decided (in my stupidity) to try and use a 3 pin header and plug the lcd onto a motherboard header. What I failked to relaize is that its not 12 volts and only 5 volts.

I think I have found a solution for a replacement though. White LCD

I picked one up and I think it will replace either the microfly or the x-qpack temp. display. I have not done it yet but the one at Performance-PCS has some clips and you just need to enlarge the stock hole and push it in. Only bad thing is it only has one temp and its white led.

I've had problems with mine too except it's the other way around. The temperature shows, but the blue back light doesn't always work.
