Micro USB reader?

The USB slot on that reader is deep enough to fully-contain the card. You insert the card, and then connect to the USB port.

Consider this: I never change the card in my MicroSDHC reader without plugging/unplugging the reader from the USB slot (it's too clumsy to do it any other way). So this makes sense, because it makes the reader simpler and less liable to breakage, plus you're going to unplug the reader when switching cards anyway :D
