Micro-Stuttering

I have noticed this micro stuttering a little bit. But the author makes a statement saying " It almost makes sense why AMD doesn't include a second CrossFire connector on these cards now; doing so would decimate any reason to spend extra on the company's highest-end (and highest-margin) cards." So after reading it, it got me wondering if i were to connect a 2nd crossfire bridge to my 2 5870's would it alleviate the micro stuttering?
 
I think you missed the context of the statement you're quoting. It seems to be in regards to triple x-fire performance of midrange cards versus performance of the MUCH more expensive (and higher margin) card models.

What I got out of the review was that there's little point to AMD putting double connectors on the lower end cards from their profit perspective when 3 of those lower end cards put the performance of their highest end card to shame (in some applications) for less $$$

**edit: to add, I don't think just adding the second x-fire link to a pair of cards will alleviate the micro-stutter. Can't hurt to try tho, huh!? ;-)

I was just about to post this same link because recently on this forum it was made to like like I was FoS when I said multi-gpu can cause micro stuttering. One self proclaimed expert (game developer) claims it is cause by HDD loading of the graphics into ram and not the dual video cards and a timing issue. If he is reading this then bollocks to you mate, I'm right and you are WRONG.

Yeah, that's just ordinary stutter, not micro-stutter. 95% of people don't seem to know the difference.
