I wanted to use SD or SDXC in my built-in SD reader

Was wondering what kind of throughput I could expect (assume fastest card).

(Sager np8150 - nearing the end of service life)



I've edited files from a USB 3 external drive. It was slow, but worked.

PCIe should be fast?

Faster than USB 3 drive?

I am able to install all apps on my internal SSD, so I'm not worried about running programs from the SD.

Sorry, I don't have SD to test throughput.
